Pocket money for a 12yo
Today, my daughter gave the most inspiring, accurate and convincing presentation/speech for why she should start receiving pocket money - and it was hard to deny her request! It was an overdue conversation. I’ve been thinking for a while that I should be giving her pocket money. But it was nice for her to remind me in such a creative way - 10 PowerPoint slides with a story on what she will do with the money (40% saving/ 40% spending/ £20 for gifts/charity) and what chores she would do in return. It will also teach her good financial literacy and management. We agreed on £10 p/w for some very basic chores - make your bed, feed the tortoise etc. How much do you think is suitable pocket money for a 12yo? (per week)
