Pancakes for breakfast – recipe
Easy to make and fun for all the family, especially if using moulds to make playful shapes. The kids will love to get involved, and after a few attempts they will probably remember the recipe by heart. However I would suggest it as a weekend only treat, not a part of your daily diet, because it can include a lot of calories if covered in syrup and fruits. Here’s the recipe for 2x pancakes🥞 Ingredients 30g plain flour ½ tsp baking powder 1 tsp caster sugar Pinch of salt 1 small egg (beaten) 40–45ml milk 1 tsp melted butter (plus a little for the pan) 👩🍳 Method Mix flour, baking powder, sugar and salt. Whisk in the egg and most of the milk until smooth. Stir in the melted butter. Add a splash more milk only if needed — the batter should be thick and spoonable, not runny. Heat a lightly buttered pan on medium-low. Spoon in batter without spreading. Cook 2–3 mins until bubbles form and edges set, flip, then cook another 1–2 mins. Top with fruits (strawberries, blueberries and bananas go very well) 🍓 🍌 and some maple syrupFor health reasons, just be careful not to have too…
